Ginny and Josh met at the beginning of their first year at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. More accurately, they met at a mutual friend’s apartment where Ginny found Josh “unfriendly after he actively avoided talking to her when a friend made a thoughtful introduction” and Josh insists “it wasn’t a good conversation starter.”

A few weeks went by, and as they became better friends Ginny realized Josh was actually a pretty nice guy. Their first two quarters went by in a blur of recruiting and interviewing, and somewhere along the way Josh realized his “don’t date a Boothie” rule may need to be modified.

Since the initial sparks, they’ve visited nine countries together, moved to New York, and avoided getting a pet, despite Josh’s best efforts.
